When you register on this Site to participate in the e-learning program, we process your personal data to ensure that you can access and complete the e-learning modules, receive newsletters, or stay informed about other Site-related activities.
The legal basis for this processing is your registration and participation in the e-learning and related activities linked to the Site. In addition, our legitimate interest in carefully managing user accounts and maintaining records serves as a lawful basis for processing.
Following your registration, your name may be shared with collaboration partners involved in the e-learning program. These partners will not have any rights to further process or use your personal data.
3. Processing of Contact Information
If you contact us through a contact form or contact button, your contact details will not be shared with third parties and will be treated confidentially by MEDonline.
4. Other Data Processing
The Site also processes personal data transmitted by your browser, such as your IP address and browser specifications. This processing is necessary for the proper functioning of the Site.
5. Cookies
The Site uses “cookies.” Some cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Site, while others enable us to analyze usage and improve the Site. Cookies may also be used to provide you with information or content tailored to your interests. Some cookies may require your prior consent.

6. Retention of Personal Data
We aim to retain personal data for the shortest period necessary. The retention period is determined based on:
- Purpose: Personal data is stored as long as required to fulfill the relevant purpose.
- Legal obligations: Various laws and regulations prescribe minimum retention periods which we must comply with.
7. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access – You may contact us to confirm whether we process your personal data. If so, we will inform you of the categories of personal data, purposes of processing, recipients, and retention period (or the criteria used to determine it).
- Right to rectification – You have the right to request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
- Right to object – If processing is based on MEDonline’s legitimate interest, you may object at any time. We will no longer process your personal data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
- Right to restriction – You may request restriction of processing in certain cases defined under applicable data protection laws (e.g., if you contest the accuracy of your personal data during the period we verify it). Restriction of processing may affect the Site’s functionality.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) – You may request the deletion of your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed. You may also request erasure if you exercise your right to object (see above), unless we have overriding legitimate grounds to retain it. Please note that full deletion from backup systems may take additional time, but such copies will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible.
- Right to data portability – You have the right to receive personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and/or to request that we transfer it to another controller, where technically feasible. This right only applies to data processed based on consent or contract.
